bite of salmon, usually I use cut plug herring or anchovies but if they salmon are taking an artificial bait it can make for some fast action! After catching some salmon I will anchor for halibut on one of the many waypoints stored in my G.P.S. HALIBUT I use spreader bars with weights and circle hooks with fresh bait when searching for a monster halibut to test your strength. After reeling some halibut from the depths we will finish off the day trolling for a few more salmon along one on the many sheltered Islands or kelp beds. When limits of halibut and salmon are topped up. I truly love jigging the rocks in search of lyng cod, snapper, or any of the many species of rock fish or anything else that lives on the bottom of the ocean, and trust me there are a lot of cool creatures on the bottom. Through the day I will fillet the fish the way you prefer and put on salt ice in bags ready to transport home or take to a local fish processor in Prince Rupert . Through the day we will see humpback whales, orcas, sea lions, seals, eagles and various kinds of sea gulls, ducks and other fowl. I fish anywhere from the Alaska border north of Dundas Island to west of Zayas Island on Celestrial reef and to the south end of stevens Island and anywhere there are fish in between. CrabsIf you would like we can also set crab traps which we can check every evening as we return to town from our daily fishing excursion. We will spend 10 aprox. hours on the water from the time we leave the dock in the morning and return in the afternoon. However every day is dependent on winds and days will be planned by ocean buoy reports and lighthouse weather forecasts so we can fish the calmest waters.
