Hours Update - Fair Week 1 🎡

You can shop Avsthetics at the West Niagara Fair on our closed days, or shop online - local pickup is available for our return on Tuesday (or you can just come by on Tuesday to check out the new collection) 🫶🏻

This is September 🤎🍂🌾🎡🎟️

Every year September is a crazy month for us - a transition from the lull of summer vacation months to a bustling fall rush in the blink of an eye!
This is the lineup for September.

Starting with today, Tuesday September 8th - the shop is now decorated for fall and has become a cozy shopping haven. Our vendors have begun bringing seasonal products in and swapping them for summer items, with more and more being added each day!

Sept 11-13 - the West Niagara Fair

At the end of the week we have the first of the two fairs we vend at each year, the West Niagara Fair. This fair is local to us, only about ten minutes from our shop, so the shop will be closed for the duration of the fair - you can find us there if you feel like shopping Avsthetics! Official updates to our hours for the week will be posted shortly.

Tuesday, September 15 - “Fall Farmer’s Market” Collection drop

Next Tuesday we will be releasing this year’s fall jewelry collection both in-store and online. Style highlights, behind the scenes and sneak peeks will be posted over the next while!

September 18-20 - the Binbrook Fair

This will be our fifth year at the Binbrook fair, it is a tradition we adore! Adjustments to our hours will be posted the week of, though we plan on being open with reduced hours on our regular days.

Vendor Highlight: The Bali Closet 🌊

The Bali Closet is a curated boutique featuring a selection of effortless, coastal, neutral styles.
Tori, the face behind the brand, used to be a flight attendant and after spending time in Bali, instantly fell in love with the country, inspiring the name of her brand and the coastal aesthetic.
Throughout her journey, Tori has become increasingly conscious of the impact fashion has on the environment, and has made a decision to shift toward natural fibres like cotton and linen, moving away from synthetic materials containing plastics and toxins often found in fast fashion.

You can now find a rack of ☼ Niagara & Waterdown Boutique ☼ here at Avsthetics, currently featuring some summer styles, lounge pieces, and bags! We’re very excited to be carrying boutique clothing for the very first time and love how the rack display looks in our small-town boutique 🤍

Shiloh Wellness is based super locally in Grassie, ON and offers all-natural wellness & self-care products. Currently, her offerings consist of natural aluminum-free deodorant, calendula salve, chamomile body powder, lip balm, sun salve and bar soaps. Vendor Highlight: Maison Rosette 𐙚

Maison Rosette is another new vendor who has recently joined the shop! Based here in Niagara, Carol creates hair bows and accessories with the intention of adding some whimsy to our lives 🎀 Most recently she has released an heirloom collection featuring nostalgic prints, as well as how bag charms, which are coming to the shop soon! 🤍

Vendor Spotlight: Small Town Potter

Yesterday we welcomed Small Town Potter to the shop, based right here in Smithville - as local as it gets!

Kirstin makes beautiful, functional wheel-thrown pottery items on her wheel at home. Currently in the store we have bubble cups, travel cups, sponge holders, 3-in-1 spoon rests/garlic graters/herb splitters, and a butter dish! She offers a variety of glazes, and likes to change it up frequently to keep her selection interesting and unique!

Calling all local artisans & Canadian
brands - especially those local to the Niagara Region!! 🍂
We have a few spaces available for new vendors to join us for our fall term beginning at the start of August or September!
While we always leave our vendor applications open, we wanted to make it known that we are currently going through applications and reaching out to those in categories we have spaces available in!

We’re also currently running a promo - refer a vendor friend to the shop, and if you both apply and are accepted, you will each receive 25% off your first three month term’s vendor membership fee, heading right into the busiest half of the year! This is the perfect time to get your foot in the door if you’re considering applying, as we fill up fast the closer we get to the holidays! Send us a DM to let us know who you referred!

It’s about time we stocked some Canadian maple syrup 🍁

Based up north in Magnetewan, Ontario, Hen & Finch is a family business run by first generation maple farmers. You can find the rich, sweet and delicious Hen & Finch maple syrup at Avsthetics in grades “Amber” and “Dark”.

Plus, their branding is a bonus, with hens being very on-par with Smithville 🐓😌

These chicken planters have not been getting the love they deserve, so I thought I’d put two of my own plants in them to paint a picture of their full potential 🪴🐓

I think a lot of people fear repotting their plants/taking them out of their nursery pots; my tip is DON’T BE! I’m convinced plants smell fear - the more careful and nervous and overbearing you are the more likely you are to kill them - you handle them a little rough, forget about them a bit, water them when you remember and they thrive! (Speaking from my own experience, Avsthetics is not responsible for the death of your houseplants 😅)

So anyways, why not repot into a cute chicken, and then name it! That’s fun! 🪴

Fun fact: these plants have been kicking around for years now and I’m very proud of that - the succulent has been alive since my sisters gifted it to me in 2023, and the string of peas (literally named “Peas”) has been alive since just after I opened the shop in 2024.
