Hi, I'm Nicole! I'm a wife and a mom of two sweet, fun and energetic young boys (6&8) who keep me busy every single day! If I'm not at the rink with them, then I am catching a pass, shooting a basket, blocking a shot, exploring nature around us, building lego, teaching in my classroom, creating learning materials out of wood, hiking or waist deep in a stack of my son's favourite pile of children's books. (That we've read 101 times) I've been teaching preschool-grade 2 for over 17 years now & am working to get my Resource Consultants certification. My love for play, children's education & exploring the world around us has followed me since I was as old as my boys are now! If you asked me then, what I'd like to be doing when I grow up, it's exactly what I am doing now! I have had my hands messy with homeschooling, coaching sports teams, hosting a before school program in our home, creating wooden growth charts and learning resources, creating a small business during mat leave () & I'm currently in the process of writing my own children's book! After my boys were born; I felt it was my duty to create every opportunity to learn & grow for our sons and for myself, as I wished for when I was young! You are only young once, right?! I recently was given a puzzle & book from the Usborne Collection from a good friend. It was my first time every finding out about this company. I'm big on first impressions & I was instantly amazed at the quality, graphics and the over all use that these resources had for me in my home and in the classroom. I'm picky (very picky) with what I put in the hands of my own children and the children that I teach. If you have children or are a teacher; you know that feeling when you just know something is going to be a GREAT fit. Well, I had that feeling! When I started researching and reading about this company, my wish list started to grow & grow!! It's truly hard to find something that checks all of your "Mom boxes." It took me quite some time to convince myself to reach out and find Jen. But when I did, I was lucky enough to stumble upon a chance to win the Dreamshare Giveaway. I thought, why not! If I get it then it was meant to be. And guess what!? I got it and here I am.....introducing myself to all of you! I'm not sure where this will lead but given the amazing opportunity that I have right now in my life, to be at home with my family and to set out on an adventure that not only satisfies my BOOK obsession...but allows me to share my love for learning with all of you, I couldn't be more excited!
