It’s that time of year when the shop is a little quieter and we need to be dyeing yarn and working in the garden.

Starting today our Summer Hours are in effect. But don’t worry, we will be open for longer hours come September.

We will also be at the following markets:
100 Mile Fleece & Fibre on May 31st
Entwined July 18th
Fibrations August 16th
Knit City Calgary September 26th & 27th

Do you love a yarn with texture like I do? Then my new S*F Boucle yarn is a great fit! This yarn is soft and springy! It has a ton of yardage measuring 240 yards and knits up as a bulky weight.

I cast on Petite Knits Wave Tee and it’s flying off my needles.

This yarn is incredibly soft so come by and give it a squeeze!

These cotton project bags were a joy to make and are in our shop now!

I used the magic of the sun and pressed leaves and flowers to create these images using .

I will be bringing some of these to the 100 Mile Fleece and Fibre Fair at the end of the month. We will have lots of specialty items at our booth!

The Ranunculus is hot off the needles! This project has more than 35,000 projects on Ravelry and I understand why!

This is a super quick knit and offers wthe option of long or short sleeves. You can use lots of different weights of yarn for this pattern.

I knit mine using our S*F Chatty Fi*****ng held double with our Hell Yeah Lace, held double. The color is Z Side and it’s bright and was a joy to knit! Since the lace u used is alpaca it is soft and non-scratchy.

We have lots of color combos for this project!

Thank you so much for your support today on LYS day, and every other day.

At the heart of our LYS is community and I see you. Thank you everyone who makes this yarn store possible. Not just the customers but also Sonya and Rochelle!

I also led beautiful natural dye workshop this afternoon to top off the day!
I’m now putting my feet up and will work on a shawl this evening while my daughter has her birthday slumber party!
