Retail Sales Associate/Admin
Assistant

We are a licensed retail cannabis store located in Sooke BC. We are passionate about providing a welcoming experience for our customers, offering a wide selection of high-quality cannabis products and accessories. Our team is focused on delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining full compliance with all provincial regulations.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and highly organized individual to join our team. This dual-role position involves both direct customer service on the sales floor and essential administrative and ordering tasks behind the scenes. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a friendly demeanor, and a keen eye for detail. Experience in retail and a passion for the cannabis industry are strong assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Sales & Customer Service
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
Educate customers on cannabis products.
Handle cash and debit transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
Verify customer identification to ensure all provincial age restrictions are met.
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail sales floor.
Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reporting.
Administrative & Ordering Support
Assist with the ordering process for new products and manage inventory levels to ensure the store is well-stocked.
Help with receiving, counting, and entering new inventory into our compliance tracking system.
Maintain accurate records for all administrative and inventory tasks.
Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers.
Provide general administrative support as needed to ensure smooth store operations.
Qualifications
Must be at least 19+ years of age.
A valid "Selling It Right" certification is required (or must be obtained before starting)].
Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is required. Experience in the cannabis industry is a strong asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer functions.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
