If you loved The Midnight Library by here’s your read for the weekend! The Midnight Train is a story about Wilbur, who is able to go back to moments in his past and reflect on things he might have done differently. Matt’s books are hopeful, heartfelt, and always have a touch of whimsy that I find deeply enchanting.

Any other Matt Haig fans out there? Which book is your favourite so far?

What I’m currently reading. I always have an audio and at least one physical book on the go. I’ve been dying to crack open Starside, but felt I needed to read some other genres before diving back in to Romantasy again! The audios always take me longer to get through than physical books as I can read with my eyes better than my ears. Not sure what that says about me…I gave up on trying to take a physical copy of Yesteryear home because y’all keep cleaning me out when I get that one in!

We see you peeking in the windows before we open, and have been working on extending our hours to better meet your bookish needs!

Starting this week, we will be opening on weekdays at 10am instead of 11am. Then the week of June 9th, we will extend our hours to Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday 10am-4pm, and Sunday 11am-3pm.

If you have a kid who is hard to keep interested in books, but they love movies like The Goonies, and books with a sprinkle of spooky time (not quite as creepy as a Goosebumps book) then you should check out New York Times’ bestselling author books!

Celia popped in to sign copies of The Bellwoods Game yesterday, and to chat through plans for her visit in July. She has a new children’s book coming out called Remember Me, Daphne that is absolutely fabulous! We were lucky to get an advanced reading copy and I read it with my 11 year old in record time.

Larkspur will be hosting an event here at the shop with Celia this summer, so watch socials for dates and details!
