You don't have to be religious to love this rosary.
Large, hand crafted wooden beads individually knotted & with large cross. Dating from the 60s these were particularly popular in France as religious souvenirs
I was instantly drawn to it because of the size & the rich warm colors.
As wall decor its an eye catching piece.
Measures 46" long when hanging.

I'm starting the day by blowing my own trumpet...well actually cornet😎
A nice shiny Blessing Artist cornet.
The serial number dates it from 1980-83. These are brass with a plated coating. This one is in lovely shiny condition, with mouthpiece & case. Valves seem to move smoothly but I'm hardly an expert in this area.
A great item for someone wanting to get into a big band or if you just want to blow a tune at home & scare the cat.
Displays beautifully.

This is a fascinating picture not just for where it is but that the information on it was included on the back.
We're looking at a very old view of Punchbowl Falls Ravine & the Pocahontas trail...some of you may have more recent knowledge of the area. Make sure you take a look at the work on that wooden bridging & railing...stunning!
The lady in the picture is Miss Maud Van Iderstine Deverell (1876- 1964), a long time Edmonton resident & charter member of the now defunct Dickens Fellowship, originally from Michigan.
Its fabulous when snippets of info can bring to life an otherwise 2 dimensional piece.
It places this view of the trail at close to the turn of the century & I'll hazard a guess that its vastly different now.
Looks a bit magical in this picture.
