The Lori Bie Memorial Scholarship 💜🐦✨
On the day of our dear friend Lori Bie’s heavenly birthday, we are excited to share with you that we are launching a post-secondary scholarship opportunity in her name. We are so honoured to share her legacy with you.
We met the beautiful soul that is Lori Bie about 5 years ago, when she walked through our store doors. The absolute joy, positivity, and light that radiated from her cannot be described. She visited us every Saturday for years, becoming not just a good friend, but a treasured member of our family.
Lori was a cherished friend not just to people, but to all creatures. The connection she had to the natural world was so special, and she took every chance she could to share that with others. The blue jay was her favourite bird! We bonded over our love and passion for birds and nature, and we hope that our scholarship recipient also shares that passion.
She loved to support local everywhere she went. She would go above and beyond to make others feel seen and supported. Lori genuinely believed in others, and especially in young people. I can tell you first-hand that Lori believed in me as a young entrepreneur with her whole heart.
Lori supported us so much during our first 5 years in business, and we can’t think of a better way to share her legacy and honour her spirit than to spread the love in the form of a scholarship. While we can never repay her for the kindness, generosity, and true belief she had in us, we can share her legacy and extend that kindness and generosity to other young people.
The Lori Bie Memorial Scholarship will be for a sum of $1,000 and will be awarded to an Alberta student. Application details will be released on Monday, June 15, 2026.
We love you, Lori. Happy Heavenly Birthday! We miss you so much. The last 7 months haven’t been the same without you. We hope to do you proud. 💜
