Today at Book Bound & Editing Co. we are focusing on proofreading! Proofreading is a vital step in the document editing process.
When proofreading documents, we look for mechanical errors such as grammar, punctuation, spelling, omitted words, repeated words, spacing, and format errors.
Sometimes in the rush of trying to finish that paper, letter, memo, resume, or whatever the document may be, we can easily make mistakes. Even if you think you have gone over your document with a fine-tooth comb, chances are if you read it over sentence by sentence you would still find an error!
You are more likely to miss an error in your own document than someone who is reading it for the first time.
Here at BBEC, we are professionally trained to see these errors. Our proofreaders and editors have a sharp eye and strong attention to detail.
We will fix any errors and make whatever necessary changes to the document to make it grammatically correct.
Once your document is proofread it will be passed to the editing department and then back to you for final approval. We will send you a draft to make any changes, and once you have approved the copy, we will send you the final draft.
