Wearing a medical mask properly makes all the difference. A few small missteps, a gap at the nose, a loose fit, touching the front, can undo the protection it's meant to provide.

Here's how to do it right:
1. Clean your hands before you touch the mask.
2. Check the mask for tears or damage. If it's compromised, use a new one.
3. Find the top, usually marked by the metal strip, and the inside, usually the white side.
4. Place it over your nose, mouth, and chin with no gaps at the sides.
5. Loop the straps behind your ears or head. Keep them uncrossed to avoid gaps.
6. Pinch the metal strip so it molds to your nose.
7. Once it's on, leave it alone. Avoid touching the front, and if you do, wash your hands right after.

Simple steps, but they matter, especially in healthcare settings where proper fit and technique protect patients and staff alike.

Together, participants raised $40,946 for Stella's Circle, an incredible organization providing vital mental health resources for women right here in our community.

It was a fantastic morning alongside so many passionate, community-minded people. Thank you to the organizers and every participant who made it such a meaningful event. We're already looking forward to the next one.
