The Crypt Keeper is back for the first time in 30 years, and he's got a job. The wisecracking Tales from the Crypt ghoul will host segments across AMC's FearFest, the network's month-long horror block that kicks off Thursday, October 1, marking the celebration's 30th anniversary. The opening-day Halloween marathon leads into a Tales from the Crypt marathon at 11 p.m.

The puppet has been redesigned, and Greg Nicotero directed brand-new promotional spots. These on-air hosting segments are the first new Tales from the Crypt content since the series ended in 1996. All 7 seasons of the original series will also be available on AMC+ and Shudder.

FearFest 2026 spans AMC and AMC+ with more than 650 hours of movies and shows through early November. That includes Tales from the Crypt marathons plus franchise stacks of Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Final Destination and Insidious, and a Stephen King run with It (2017), the 1990 It miniseries, Misery and Christine.

The dated franchise blocks include Insidious on October 2, Chucky on October 7, A Nightmare on Elm Street on October 12 and 27, Friday the 13th on October 16 and 26, and Freddy vs. Jason on October 18. Themed programming includes Creature Feature on October 10, Fear the '80s on October 24, and 2 days of Halloween movies on October 30 and 31.

Two original series round it out. The Terror: Devil in Silver, starring Dan Stevens as a man wrongly committed to a psychiatric hospital, airs Sundays at 9/8c on AMC. Its season finale airs October 25, while the full season is already available on AMC+.

YAGA, an AMC+ supernatural thriller with Carrie-Anne Moss and Noah Reid, premieres with two episodes on Friday, October 23. Reid plays a private investigator looking into the disappearance of fishery heir Henry Park in a coastal town, with new episodes arriving weekly through the November 27 finale. The Vampire Lestat and The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 are also among the FearFest streaming highlights already available on AMC+.
