πŸ’™ What was completely normal when you were growing up... that kids today would find unbelievable?

Calling your friend's house phone and having their parent answer.

Waiting all night for your favourite song to come on the radio so you could record it onto a cassette.

Having to get off the internet because someone needed the phone. πŸ˜‚

Printing out MapQuest directions before leaving the house.

Going to Blockbuster on Friday night hoping the movie you wanted was still there.

Having one family computer that everyone had to share.

Buying disposable cameras and waiting days to find out whether any of your pictures actually turned out.

MSN Messenger and that little nudge when someone wasn't answering you.

Burning the perfect CD for someone.

Calling the movie theatre to hear the showtimes.

And of course...

"Be home when the streetlights come on."

Technology has changed so much in such a short time, but it's funny how these little everyday things can instantly take us back.

πŸ’¬ What's something that was completely normal when you were growing up that kids today would have a hard time believing?

I have a feeling we're going to unlock some memories with this one. πŸ˜‚β€οΈ

πŸ’™ What’s something you wish never went out of style?

Some things don't need improving.

Holding the door open for someone.

Writing thank-you cards.

Family dinners around the table.

Borrowing a book from a friend.

Watching the sunset without reaching for your phone.

The little traditions and simple moments often become the ones we remember most.

πŸ’¬ What's something you wish never went out of style?
For me it's genuine connection. Being present instead of staring at our phones and getting to know a person instead of reducing them to labels πŸ’–

I'd love to hear your answers. ❀️

πŸ’™ If you could relive one ordinary day... which one would you choose?

Not your wedding.

Not a vacation.

Not the day you won something.

Just an ordinary day that you didn't realize would become special.

Maybe it was having coffee with someone who's no longer here.

A family supper.

A walk with your dog.

A quiet evening when life felt simple.

Sometimes the days we miss the most are the ones we never thought to appreciate while we were living them.

πŸ’¬ If you could relive one ordinary day for just an hour... which day would you choose?

I'd love to read your answers. ❀️

πŸ’Ž What Makes One Crystal More Expensive Than Another?

It's one of the questions we hear most often in the store.
The truth is, there isn't just one answer.
A crystal's price can be influenced by many things, including:

✨ Rarity – Some crystals are found all over the world, while others come from only a handful of locations.

πŸ“ Size – Larger natural pieces are often much harder to find.

🌈 Quality – Colour, clarity, flash, patterns, and overall appearance all play a role.

πŸͺ¨ Formation – Clusters, points, free forms, spheres, carvings, and polished pieces all require different amounts of material and craftsmanship.

🌍 Country of Origin – Some regions produce exceptional quality or particularly sought-after material.

⛏️ Availability – Mining conditions, supply, and demand can also affect price.

But here's something we always like to remind people...

πŸ’™ The best crystal isn't always the most expensive.

Some people fall in love with a tiny pocket stone, while others connect with a rare collector's piece.
The right crystal is simply the one that speaks to you.

Have you ever found a crystal you couldn't stop thinking aboutβ€”even if it wasn't the most expensive one? We'd love to hear your story.

What's something you inherited that wasn't a possession? ❀️

When we think about inheritance, we often think about things we can hold.

But sometimes the most meaningful things can't be placed in a box.

People have always told me I look like my mom.

As I've gotten older, my dad has often said I'm just like my poppy. He managed a business called the Big 6, and people loved stopping to chat with him. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, and my dad says he sees that same quality in me.

It made me realize that maybe the greatest things we inherit aren't the things we can hold.

Maybe it's your mom's compassion.

Your grandfather's work ethic.

A family recipe.

A love of gardening.

A sense of humour.

A tradition you still carry on today.

A smile.

A laugh.

A kind heart.

A gift for making people feel seen.

Sometimes the greatest gifts quietly become part of who we are.

πŸ’š What's something you inherited that wasn't a possession?

I'd love to hear your story.

Sometimes people aren't listening to understand... they're listening to confirm what they've already decided.

And that's okay.

One of the hardest lessons I've learned is that not every misunderstanding needs another explanation.

No matter how carefully we choose our words, some people will still see things through their own experiences, beliefs, or expectations.

I've realized I much prefer a genuine conversation over an online debate. It's easier to ask questions, listen, and understand where someone is coming from. Online, it's easy for tone to be lost and intentions to be misunderstood.

Your energy is valuable.

Sometimes peace comes from knowing you've said what you needed to say... and allowing the conversation to end there.

Not every opinion has to be changed.

Not every misunderstanding has to be resolved.

πŸ’š Have you ever found that a real conversation accomplished more than a debate ever could?

When people come into the store looking for a crystal, I often think they're really looking for something more. Maybe a little hope, a little peace, or just a reminder that there are still good people in the world.

If you could have a little more of one thing in the world right now, what would it be?

For me, it would be genuine kindness.

Not the kind that's posted online or shared because it looks good. The kind that's offered quietly when no one is watching. Holding the door for someone, checking in on a friend just because, helping a stranger, or simply choosing patience when it's easier not to.

I still believe those small moments matter. They can change someone's day, and sometimes even their life.

I'd love to hear your answer. ❀️

Have you ever kept something because of the memory attached to it? ❀️

Sometimes it's not about what something is worth...

It's the tiny seashell you picked up on vacation.

A handwritten note.

An old key.

A mug that reminds you of someone.

A piece of jewelry that makes you smile every time you see it.

Sometimes it's not the item we hold ontoβ€”it's the memory it carries.

πŸ’› What's one thing you'll probably never part with, and why?

I'd love to hear your story.

One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is to stop replaying
conversations that are over.

Stop wondering if you said the wrong thing or trying to read between the lines.

Stop carrying the weight of things you can't change.

Not every chapter needs an explanation. Not every goodbye needs closure.

Not every silence needs an answer.

Sometimes peace begins the moment you decide to stop searching for one. ❀️

✨ If you could give yourself one gift today... what would it be?

I'd love to read your answer in the comments. πŸ’›
