I built this table for a old friend of mine and this is what he had to say! He put into words what I've always envisioned my tables would be to my customers.

Family dinners just hit a new level thanks to the incredible craftsmanship of my friend and old high school classmate Andy! After seeing Andy's work on Facebook over the past year or so, I reached out to him before Christmas to see if he could build a special table for our new house. What he created was beyond what I could have imagined and goes far beyond the physical structure you see in these images. This morning, I made the 2 hour drive over to Perth, not only to pick up this beautiful piece of art but to connect with a friend that I hadn't seen in over 25 years. We talked about life for a bit and the ongoing crisis that is apparent in society today in regard to mental health. As our family (minus the young lad and his girlfriend that had to work today) sat around the table and shared stories and laughter, I couldn't help but pause and smile, knowing that our own mental health was strengthening in that very moment. This table represents far more than a beautiful piece of art. It represents bringing people closer together and spending quality time together. It represents taking care of one another. It represents sharing memories, stories, and listening to one another while they share an experience. It represents slowing down for a moment or two and being present in the moment. Most of all, it represents what really matters in life. The beauty that is captured through each experience and the people you choose to share it with.
So thank you, Andy, for creating something far more incredible than a dining room table to enjoy our meals at. I will spend many days in the future sitting at this table, smiling and giving my 'nod of approval' as Ali terms it.
