2023 Swimming Lesson Registration Details

Registrations will only be taken on-line.

To make registration easier, make a client account in advance at Town of Stonewall - Public Access (univerusrec.com). Be sure to register all of your immediate family under one account.

Local postal codes (Stonewall and surrounding areas) will be able to book starting May 24th at 9 am with all others able to book one-week after. Campers staying in the Quarry Park Campground for the week of their desired lessons, are eligible for the early booking time and can call the Heritage Arts Centre Office at 204-467-7980 to register. Proof of campground reservation will be required.

This year we will be teaching Lifesaving Society lessons in one-week sessions except for the Rookie, Ranger and Star classes which will occur over two weeks. We have extended the length of the lessons each day to accommodate the material being covered. When booking you will be selecting only 11 am – 2 pm or 2 pm – 5 pm and not a specific lesson time. Lessons will be scheduled within your selected time frame as much as possible. Once the schedule is determined, you will receive an email with your exact lesson time. Kinsmen Lake will be making a concerted effort to get as many swimmers into lessons as possible this summer.

Please ensure that your child is dressed in a swimsuit for their lessons, wetsuits are acceptable as well. Please do not send them in a life jacket unless requested to do so by the instructor. Swimmers will need their own towel and sunscreen. We recommend making sure your child has gone to the bathroom prior to the start of lessons. Parent/guardian will need to take them to the bathroom if needed during class time. We also ask that all swimmers are on-time and ready to go at the scheduled time of their class.

Lessons are on, rain or shine. If weather becomes dangerous ex. lightning/tornado warnings lessons may be delayed or reorganized to cover safety material that can be taught out of the water. If lessons are going to be cancelled, you will receive an email as soon as the decision has been made. Make up lessons will occur during a weekly session only if time permits. Make up lessons may need to be rescheduled to another day.

Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance. Last date for a refund is 10 days prior to the start of your lessons.

Families planning to visit the lake for swimming before or beyond their scheduled lessons will be required to have either a 2023 Family Lake Pass which is on sale on-line, at the Heritage Art Centre or the Town Office until May 31st for $99 plus tax OR pay the daily individual admission fee at the gate. For those only coming for swimming lessons, no additional fee for spectators will apply.

FRIDAY MAY 12th - We still DO NOT have the all clear from the water testing facility that the campground water can be used yet. We will update as soon as it is confirmed safe for consumption.

UPDATE: Seasonal Campers in Quarry Park Campground.
The campground water is currently being tested for leaks and repairs are being done to the pipes. A water test sample has to be taken to the lab and returned BEFORE anyone should use the water. Please follow this page for the official notice that the water is safe to use and for consumption. We HOPE it will be ready before the weekend but this is NOT confirmed. Again, please do not use the water at this time, wait until it has been shared that it is safe to use.
