I hate that I can't post from IG to FB because I'm in lockdown. AGAIN.

FYI I'm trying to post more on Bluesky and Gander. You'll find me on both as 42Doors. I'm pretty tired of fighting with Meta and a separation is looming.

In the meantime, I'm trying to actually share more of what I'm working on. The website is being updated a little more regularly to get up what I'm making. It's still behind though, so finding me at markets will give you more options, or you can also see what I have at Crescent Moon Curio Shoppe.

The latest is a patch I made for Gil.

If you've been around a Edmonton Folk Music Festival site build in the last couple of years, you know exactly why. The man works alongside the volunteers and is a constant walking reminder to hydrate. It doesn't matter if it's 18° or 38°, if you've got a pulse, Gil is making sure you're drinking water.

The irony is that I'm taking this year's Folk Fest off so I can actually enjoy the festival itself, and somehow the year I miss is the year Alberta decides we're building Atlantis, instead.

Normally, when site gets ugly, they truck in sand to fill the mud pits. They've dumped so much sand on site this year that Frank Herbert's estate is considering legal action. Fortunately (or... sadly?), they've got a few too many million litres of water for sandworms. We might be closer to Tremors territory, though.

I've been buried in website work lately instead of festival work. Lots of behind-the-scenes cleanup, reorganizing, rewriting product pages, and finally getting my embroidered patches uploaded where they belong. This one is now on the website too.

I've got some fun news coming soon, but I'm trying very hard not to announce it before everything is actually ready. There may be some hints in shared stories now and again though. (Another hint: look for posts from The Craft Vault)

Instagram and I are STILL not getting along. Now it won't post to my personal page, either. And hey, look, I'm TRYING to do this whole social media thing a bit better but this is why I'd rather just see you in person.

City of Spruce Grove - Your Local Government, it's your turn for me to squat on your lawn for a short while.

I'll be setting up in Jubilee Park tomorrow with a fresh pile of handmade mischief.

New TODAY is a limited run of handmade Canada flag patches. I'm not making many, so get it while it's there!

I'll also have free Canada stickers (while supplies last!) because everyone likes free things. (Would you like some new family members, while I'm giving things away? Just kidddding.... maaaaybe.......)

I'll have a bunch of new handmade pieces, patches, stickers, heat bags, and other creations that somehow escaped my craft room as finished products.
