The last revision. Many ideas ran through my head for this piece and tried a few. But they never felt right. Sanded back more than once to finally end up with this. When my shop Neighbor stopped in and seen it and said
“ wow, that’s gorgeous “. I figured ok! And felt even better when I gave it to him and said “ it’s, yours!” There’s purple heart, walnut, sapelle, acacia, and maple triangles from cut offs from hexagons.

Love making these! Especially as gifts for amazing people!

From concept to design to reality! Almost there! A few final steps to complete. But absolutely love building this project with my son for some amazing people! Solid maple and walnut all milled down from rough stock! Cant wait to get it finished and installed.

Another one from the scrap pile. Sapelle (African mahogany), maple, and walnut, finished with General Finishes salad bowl oil. Lots of fun figuring out how to save these pieces from the garbage bin! For those who look and say “what are you going to do with that?” Here you go!
