This is one of the oldest guitars that I have had opportunity to restore. There is no identification except for a date of 1821 ad. written in pencil on inside of the sound board. According to the family that own it, it was purchased in Germany 200 years ago, and saw some not very pretty things in its existence, until lit came to Canada in the 1950’s. Stay tuned !!!🎸🎶🎸🎶

These two bodies are ready to have the necks installed. The orange triple”0” is the tribute guitar 000-215… proceeds will go to the Kamloops Indian band to aid in the costs of the identifying the lost young spirits of the 215!! The other body is an Okanagan black cherry dreadnaught , also having the neck installed. Both instruments will be at the 97 south song sessions. Stay tuned and stay cool!!!🎸🎶🎸🎶🎸

Fitting the neck and fingerboard to the completed OOO body. Because of what has been revealed in Kamloops this instrument will be dyed orange with an orange burst on the soundboard. The model will be ooo-215 ! I am very sad as I have a lot of friends of indigenous nature. May peace and comfort come to you all who have lost a loved one in this horror!!! Stay tuned!🎶🎶🎶🎶

Here we go with four guitar builds. Hopefully the vaccine rollout will allow the 97 south song sessions to happen the last weekend in July. I am supplying these four guitars to the professional songwriters that will be attending the songwriters circle held in Penticton. I am constructing two dreadnaughts, one is Honduran mahogany, the other is flame maple, one triple “O” in mahogany and an OM on Malaysian Blackwood . Both of the Martin projects are ready for vinyl sealer. The D18 will be stained dark red mahogany as the original was, the D28 will be natural to high lite the beautiful rosewood sides and back. Next week I’ll apply the clear coat on both instruments. Stay tuned !!!🎶🎶🎶🎶🎸🎸🎸
