A little creativity, a little magic, and a weekend of discovering what Summerside has to offer. ✨

Celtic Mist is joining the Summerside Craft Trail weekend, with two ways to come spend some time with us!

Friday, September 18, 10 am–6 pm
Kat will be offering Tarot readings throughout the day. Stop in, pull up a chair, and see what the cards have to say.

Sunday, September 20, 11 am–3 pm
Come create your own Mini Door Wreath with us. Choose your pieces, add your own touches, and leave with a little something handmade for your door. We’ll be crafting until 3 pm or while supplies last.

The Summerside Craft Trail itself takes place on Sunday along the Confederation Trail, with local makers and artisans to explore. There are other special activities happening around Summerside throughout the weekend as well, so there’s lots to discover.

It may be a misty, chilly Labour Day, but both Celtic Mist locations are open today!

How late will we be here? Well… that depends on how adventurous everyone is feeling on this rather damp holiday Monday. 😂

We may close around 2 or 3, depending on how busy it is, so if you're planning an afternoon visit, check with us first.

Have you ever wondered how a broom is actually made?

Here’s a little peek at the beginning of the process — winding the broomcorn onto the handle and watching a collection of simple materials begin to take the shape of a broom.

This is just part of what we’ll be doing in our upcoming Mabon Crafting with Intention: Besom Workshop, where you’ll create and personalize your own full-size besom to take home.

Our October 10 workshop is already full, but spaces are still available in our September sessions:

And if you’re watching this thinking, “I’m not sure I can do that!” - don’t worry. It takes a few minutes to get the feel for holding the tension and positioning the broomcorn, but once you find the rhythm, it starts to come together surprisingly quickly. We’ll be working through it together step by step, and with only four people in each session, I’ll be right there to help along the way. 💜

Have a watch and see how a handful of broomcorn begins its transformation into a full-size besom. 🧹
