We have 2 stunning machines that just arrived from Wayne Petrevan!

Pictured on the left is a 3 3/4 Raised pillar S handle Spey reel featuring Waynes disc drag, a 2:1 multiplier, sporting a ch*****ne anodizing. Currently set up left hand retrieve (which can be switched to right hand retrieve) $1,825.00

Pictured on the right is a 3 5/8 plate wind that features the classic 1912 check gear a pawl. This reel has a brass foot, Turks k**b sporting a clear anodizing. $1,750.00
This reel is left hand retrieve only.

These reels are currently at our Surrey location.

Join Ryan for an amazing week of fly fishing in Kiritimati. Kiritimati is a tiny coral atoll in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean with an incredible series of flats filled with bonefish, GT, other trevally, triggerfish and many other awesome fish.

It is a sight fishing Mecca! And, is the ultimate bone fishing destination for all skill levels of fly fishers.

The cost is $3890.00 (USD) per angler, which includes 6 days of guided fishing, lodging (2per room), food, and airport transfers on the island.
It does not include flights, overnight in Honolulu, fishing license, gratuities, or alcohol.

A few shop favourites!

With summer trout fishing well underway, we thought we’d share a few of our favourite fly lines with you.

Scientific Anglers are well recognized for making quality fly lines across the board.

When targeting rainbows with a dry fly, our favourites are the Amplitude Smooth Series Infinity, MPX & Trout GP lines.

The Infinity and MPX lines are excellent choices for all-round use while the Trout GP provides the most delicate presentation possible.

Spend a few hours chatting with bcflytieguys – Mark Yodogawa Mark Yodogawa and Brian Hamanishi Brian H
Mark and Brian will tie some of their favorite BC Stillwater flies and have an open discussion on set ups (rods, reels, lines, boats, etc.) as well as talk strategies with you. Followed by a limited seating fly tying jam session.

DEMO & DISCUSSION: Saturday April 18th from 12:30 – 2:45pm at our Surrey location. FREE, Open to all.

FLY TYING JAM SESSION: Saturday April 18th 3:00 – 5:00pm – Although this is free – we have limited room so registration is necessary. Please call our Surrey store to register.

PATAGONIA WADER LEAK TEST
This Saturday April 18th please visit us at our Surrey store for the Patagonia hosted WADER LEAK TEST – Starting at 10:00am the crew from Patagonia will open for business – testing anyone’s waders for FREE regardless of brand! If leaks are found, they will discuss repair options and offer advice on how to fix them. AND will share expert tips on the cleaning, care and maintenance of your waders. AND!!!! If you get your waders tested you will have an opportunity to win a prize. All that attend this event will have the opportunity to purchase any new pair of Patagonia waders at a one time, one day only, special price.
We have this event scheduled until 2:00pm. If there are still people waiting to get their waders tested we will keep the crew working until the line up is gone (or it gets dark😉).

The Annual M&Y SPEY DAY is coming up!!!

Entrance Bay, Cultus Lake, Chilliwack, BC

Join us for a day full of fun, food, presentations, and an opportunity to play with some of the new rods, reels, and lines on the market. Our primary focus is Spey casting but we will have single hand fly rods and lines for you to try too!

For those that have never attended the M&Y spey clave this is “THE” day to come and play with all of the different two handed rods and lines available through Michael & Young. It provides an excellent opportunity to try a spey rod for the first time, to tweak your exisiting rod finding the perfect line, to check out what’s new, to build on your wish list, and to socialize with all the other double handed fanatics. And, while you are at it, you might as well enjoy a free BBQ lunch, enter your name in to win one of the many prizes donated by our supporters, and watch and listen to some of the many presenters. We will be selling raffle tickets for our draws with all proceeds going to the BC Steelhead Society and the BC Federation of Fly Fishers.
