Long burns change how the wick, wax, and container behave and can create safety issues. It is about fire safety and keeping the candle performing well over its whole life.

When a candle burns for too long, carbon builds up on the wick, which makes the flame larger and more unstable. A big, unstable flame increases fire risk, can flicker, smoke, and potentially ignite nearby items more easily.

Extended burning can overheat the glass or metal container, especially as the wax level drops and heat is more concentrated. Overheated containers can crack or even shatter, spilling hot wax and creating a burn or fire hazard.

After a few hours, the fragrance output often drops as the room saturates and the wax overheats, so you use up wax without getting more scent benefit. Repeated marathon burns can shorten the candle’s life and degrade how evenly and cleanly it burns over time.

Many safety guides suggest: burn 2–4 hours at a time, then extinguish, let the candle cool and reset, and trim the wick before relighting. This balances getting a full melt pool and good scent with safer operation and a longer‑lasting, cleaner‑burning candle.

Having scented candles around us is not something we grew up with, but we fell in love with the art of making them. Candle-making became part of our busy routine, something we looked forward to after a long day. It calmed us.
Fast forward to 3 years, we want these candles to bring calmness in your life after a busy day. Maybe a reminder to pause, sit and enjoy moments of peace.

The candles we make for you are made from natural soy wax, and soy wax has a tendency to create sink holes. A candle with sink holes will not burn properly, as wax to wick ratio will be off. This leads to uneven burn, and you won’t get the most of your candle.

As sink holes are not visible from the surface, we poke holes in our candles to remove any trapped air, to close any hidden tunnels, and in turn we get smooth tops and a perfect candle without any sink holes, also we like even burn around here🤎
