Question. Why don’t birds’ feet stick to metal perches?

Answer. Birds don’t have sweat glands to produce any moisture to freeze. Their feet are mostly bone and tendons, which have a limited supply of nerves, blood vessels or muscle tissue to freeze. Also, their feet are covered with scales.
