This is Book 1 of 5 in this series. We have books 1, 2 and 3 in stock at the moment. Books 4 and 5 will arrive later. The information in this series was collected through hypnosis sessions with thousands of everyday people, rather than a single person channeling a specific entity. A very easy and interesting read. Much like reading interviews by an investigative reporter.
Is this your next read? 📚 🤔

My empath journey has come a long way. There was a time when walking into a busy public space felt like stepping into a wall of noise, emotion, energy, movement and everything else all at once.

I felt EVERYTHING!!!

Someone could walk past me carrying sadness, anger, anxiety or excitement and I would feel the shift. I could hear someone’s story and continue carrying the emotion long after the conversation had ended. Even touching objects that had passed through many hands would sometimes leave me wondering, “Why am I suddenly feeling so overwhelmed? Is this even mine?”

Back then, I didn’t understand my empathy the way I do now. It took me a loooong time to realize that not everything I was feeling needed to become mine. Sometimes, something I sensed in another person simply resonated with a feeling that was already familiar to me. That resonance could stir up old emotions, memories or parts of myself that still needed some attention. I thought my sensitivity meant being permanently wide open, and when you’re wide open all the time, empathy can become exhausting.

Over the years, various forms of meditation, crystals, energy work and a whole lot of learning about myself, taught me something I wish I had understood much sooner:

I don’t have to shut my empathy off in order to protect myself.

I can care deeply without carrying everything. I can listen to someone’s story, connect with them and genuinely feel compassion without taking their emotions home with me. I can notice what I’m sensing without automatically deciding it belongs to me.
For me, crystal meditation became a way of finding the quiet underneath all the noise. It helped me recognize where I end and everything around me begins.

Crystals became my anchors along the way. I would hold one while meditating. I would carry them almost daily in my pocket or bra (IYKYK🤣) when I knew I was going somewhere busy. Wearing my crystal jewelry and simply feeling that particular stone’s energy on my body reminded me to come back to myself.
Was the crystal creating an invisible force field around me? Not quite the sci-fi impenetrable bubble I would have appreciated at the time, but it helped me become aware of my own energy, my intention and where I was placing my attention.

And with practice, something changed that I never thought could change.

I’ve learned that I can turn the volume down.

This weekend hubby Mike and I are heading to the 2026 Sussex Flea Market for our yearly flea-market date night. If you’ve ever been there, you already know. People everywhere. Conversations everywhere. Music, movement, treasures, smells, excitement…
Sensory overload: Sussex edition. 😂

Years ago, I would have walked through there with my energetic antenna at 100% tuning into everything and everyone around me, then swearing I’d never go back because I just couldn’t handle the chaos again.

Now? I go into my little bubble. I turn the “feelers” wayyyyy down. My attention becomes very small and very intentional. In my little world, it’s basically just me and Mike wandering around, looking for treasures, while thousands of people temporarily disappear into the background.
I apologize in advance if you see me, wave enthusiastically…and I walk right past you. I promise I’m not intentionally ignoring you. I’ve just finally learned how to use the volume control. And that, for me, has been one of the greatest gifts of learning to work with my sensitivity instead of being overwhelmed by it and letting it continue to control my life.

Being empathic doesn’t have to mean absorbing everything. You can still care. You can still connect. You can still feel deeply.
I’ve simply learned that not everything I feel needs to become mine to carry. 💜

A few crystals below that I suggest based on my own experience, but there are so many more amazing stones waiting to help you on your journey.

Kundalini Awakening, Crystals, and Learning to Live With Sensitivity

My journey with crystals began as a child because they were beautiful and I found them fascinating. Then life took over.

30 years later, that crystal journey began again because I was overwhelmed.

During my kundalini awakening, I became intensely aware of energy. I could feel sensations moving through my body, vibrations within objects and spaces, shifts in people’s emotions, and frequencies that I did not yet understand. What initially felt magical quickly became difficult to manage. My sensitivity became so strong that functioning in everyday life sometimes felt almost impossible.

Kundalini awakening is often described as an activation of spiritual energy that begins to move through the body and consciousness. For some, it may feel peaceful and expansive. For others, it can be confusing, emotional, physically intense, and deeply disruptive.

Some commonly reported experiences may include waves of heat or cold, tingling, pressure, trembling, spontaneous body movements, unusual sensations along the spine, vivid dreams, heightened intuition, emotional releases, increased sensitivity to sound, light, people, places, and energy, changes in sleep, a desire for solitude, and a feeling that your old identity is beginning to fall away.

It can also bring unresolved emotions and old wounds to the surface. Awakening is not always about feeling blissful or “high vibe.” Sometimes it is about meeting the parts of ourselves that are asking to be witnessed, understood, and gently healed.

Crystals became one of the tools that helped me begin navigating this new sensitivity.

I used grounding stones when I felt scattered or overstimulated. I reached for calming crystals when my nervous system felt overwhelmed. Other stones helped me feel supported while processing emotions, strengthening my boundaries, and learning how to remain connected to myself without absorbing everything around me.

Black tourmaline, smoky quartz, hematite, obsidian, and red jasper can be beautiful companions for grounding and stability. Amethyst, lepidolite, howlite, and blue lace agate may offer a sense of calm during periods of emotional or energetic intensity. Clear quartz can help bring awareness and intention to the journey, although I personally believe highly amplifying stones should be used mindfully when someone is already feeling overstimulated.

Crystals did not “fix” my awakening. They became anchors. They reminded me to slow down, breathe, listen to my body, and reconnect with the physical world.

Over the years, I learned that my sensitivity was not something I needed to fear or completely shut off. I needed to learn how to work with it. That included clearing and supporting my physical body, tending to my nervous system, processing emotions, setting energetic boundaries, resting, grounding, and learning when to step away from spiritual practices and simply be human.

My sensitivity is still part of who I am, but it no longer controls every moment of my life. What once felt unbearable has gradually become something I can understand, regulate, and use with greater discernment.

It is also important to remember that physical or emotional symptoms should never automatically be assumed to be spiritual. Experiences connected with anxiety, sleep disruption, pain, changes in mood, or unusual physical sensations may also have medical causes. Seeking professional support does not make your spiritual experience any less meaningful. Caring for the body and mind is part of the journey too.

For anyone moving through an awakening, you do not need to rush the process or force yourself to open more quickly. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is eat a nourishing meal, place your feet on the earth, hold a grounding stone, take a deep breath, and remind yourself:

I am here. I am safe in my body. I am allowed to move through this slowly.
