A special shoutout to two local businesses that absolutely knocked it out of the park! 👏
First up, Doug’s Wood Designs. If you’ve been into The Pellet Guy over the last year, you’ve probably seen some of Doug’s gorgeous handcrafted cutting boards in the shop. What you may not know is that he also does custom furniture — and he absolutely nailed this project.
I wanted a custom Birdseye Maple console table, along with a new matching top for my coffee bar, but the challenge was getting the new pieces to match the Country Time Furniture I already had in my dining area.
That’s where Barry at Kingston Paint & Decorating came in. I brought Barry a piece of my existing Country Time furniture and he was able to match the stain perfectly, landing on Vintage Cherry. Once it went onto the Birdseye Maple, the match was incredible and tied the new custom pieces in beautifully with the existing furniture.
A huge thank you to Doug for the craftsmanship and Barry for absolutely nailing the stain match. This is exactly why I love supporting local — two local businesses working their magic to turn an idea into exactly what I was hoping for.
If you’re looking for custom furniture, woodworking or handcrafted cutting boards, check out Doug’s Wood Designs. And if you need a paint or stain matched, Barry and the team at Kingston Paint definitely know their stuff.
Couldn’t be happier with how it all came together! 👌
