💚💜 WE’RE OPEN! 💜💚

Hey everyone! 👋

We completely forgot to get our 2 PM post up today, so we apologize for that! But yes, we are OPEN and the doors are wide open! 😁

We’re here today rearranging, putting things back together, and getting the store back in order after all the work trying to get ready for Comic-Con.

We know how much it sucks that Sydney Comic-Con was canceled this weekend. We know a lot of people were excited, made plans, and were looking forward to a great weekend. We were too. ❤️

But guys, sometimes things happen in life that are outside people’s control. Miscommunications happen, unexpected things come up, and there could be a million reasons behind a situation.

Let’s try to give people the benefit of the doubt and keep the negativity to a minimum. We don’t need to point fingers, judge people, or make an already disappointing situation worse for everyone involved.

Let’s focus on supporting each other and keeping the community positive. There’s still so much potential for this event to grow into something amazing every year, and we’d hate to see negativity take away from that. 💚

Anyway, enough of that! 😁

👀 SOMETHING MAY BE HAPPENING NEXT WEEKEND…

We’ve been working behind the scenes and reaching out to friends in different places to try and put something together for next weekend.

We don’t want to reveal too much just yet, but the wheels are turning! 🛞💨

We’re doing our absolute best to put together some sort of one-day event for everybody. Maybe two days, but most likely one full day of fun!

We can’t really call it a con, can we? 😂 But we’re trying our hardest to make sure there’s something for everyone to enjoy next weekend.

We’ve got some help from friends, and we’re working on getting the pieces together.

💔 SYDNEY COMIC-CON HAS BEEN CANCELLED 💔

Well, folks… unfortunately, we have some really disappointing news to share.

Sydney Comic-Con has reached out to let us know that this weekend’s event has been CANCELLED.

And honestly… it sucks. 😔

We know how many of you were excited for this. Some of you have been making plans, looking forward to a day out, and getting the chance to enjoy something you don’t get to do very often. We know this is going to be a huge disappointment for a lot of people, and we’re truly sorry.

Unfortunately, sometimes things happen that are outside of our control. There’s not a whole lot we can do about it, but that doesn’t make it any less disappointing.

💚 BUT WE’RE NOT GIVING UP ON THE WEEKEND JUST YET! 💜

We’re going to be talking with a few different people to see what might be possible this weekend. We obviously won’t be able to replace something on the scale of Sydney Comic-Con, but maybe… just maybe… we can put something together to cheer a few people up and give everyone something fun to look forward to, even if it’s just for a day.

We’ll keep you posted as we figure things out!
