Little Hands. Big Heart. 💜

Peyton (with an E) wasn’t finished when she packed up her treat stand yesterday, after donating to the Make-A-Wish foundation this little lady had more kindness to spread. Today Peyton was able to make a food donation to the Salvation Army and a monetary donation to Global Pet Foods to help care for animals in need. All because of people in our community stopped by and supported her and her dream to help others.

Three incredible acts of kindness all from one little girl with a huge heart.

So today, we’re sharing Peyton’s challenge with all of you:

💜 Do something kind for a stranger.
💜 Lend a hand to a neighbour.
💜 Support a local fundraiser.
💜 Encourage a child with a dream, because when they learn the value of hard work and compassion, they grow into adults who make the world a better place.

Peyton, we are so proud of you. Thank you for reminding us that age doesn’t determine the size of your heart, it simply takes one caring person to inspire a whole community. 💕

💜 Kids helping kids… and a community coming together. 💜

As many of you know from our previous posts, Donald stopped by Lotherington’s yesterday to show Miss Peyton (with an “E” 😊) some support at her treat stand. What happened next was something truly special.

After hearing that Donald was helping raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Peyton generously donated a portion of her own sales back to the cause. Watching a young entrepreneur choose to help other children is a beautiful reminder that kindness has no age.

For those who may not know the story, Donald’s nephew, Jake, has been working hard to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, helping grant wishes for children and families in our community. With the cancellation of Hot August Nights, one of the community’s annual fundraisers supporting this amazing cause, we wanted to do our small part to help Jake reach this year’s goal.

Lotherington’s Flowers is proud to donate one year of flowers, a beautiful bouquet delivered every month for an entire year. Donald is selling tickets on Jake’s behalf, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
