If Southern rock took a wrong turn down a haunted back road, it would sound like this.

Moose on the Loose in Grande Prairie:

Woke up to a text, “Yo, check the group chat”
There’s a moose in the schoolyard, just casually like that
Kids at Crystal Park pressed up to the glass
Big brown shadow munchin’ on the grass

City sends a note sayin’ “Please give them space”
Keep your dogs on the leash, let ’em wander at their pace
It’s just another weekday north of thirty‑three
Where the traffic jam’s antlers and not SUVs

Neighbors on the sidewalk filming on their phones
Posting, “Only in Alberta,” as they stroll back home
If you see a giant shadow in your cul‑de‑sac tonight
It’s not the end of days, it’s just a moose under the streetlight

There’s a moose on the loose in Grande Prairie
Trottin’ down the street like it’s totally ordinary
Crosswalk king with the world’s best rack
Everybody take a picture but give him some slack

Hey, hey, keep calm, don’t run
Let the big guy finish his morning jog for fun
When the north gets weird, we just shrug and say
“Guess it’s just another moosey Monday in Grande Prairie today”

Three tall silhouettes on the football line
Refereein’ recess like it’s game time
Teacher on the whistle, “Kids, stay back!”
While the moose photobomb the class TikTok track

One by Borstad Hill, two by Royal Oaks
Starring in the group chat memes and jokes
Call 3‑1‑1 if they’re chillin’ by the swings
’Cause in this town wildlife does its own thing

“Okay, step one: don’t panic, just breathe
Step two: keep your pupper on a leash, please”
Step three: give the antlers six lanes of space
Step four: tell your friends you saw a moose downtown today

Step back into the haunted waters of the Bayou Queen saga with “The Prophet and The Widow.”
As echoes of the Moonlit Widow and the storms of River Prophet linger on misty banks, fate weaves both legend and loss together beneath the midnight sky—a grieving widow and a preacher bound by prophecy, their stories entwined in river shadows.
Channeling swampy blues, thunder, and mythic storytelling, “The Prophet and The Widow” is the closing chapter in a tale where haunted truths and longing drift with the current and every moonlit ripple carries the weight of memory.
Listen and let yourself be carried deeper into the bayou’s mysteries. The legend comes full circle.

Step back into the haunted waters of the Bayou Queen saga with “River Prophet.”
As the echoes of the Moonlit Widow linger on misty banks, a new legend walks the river—an untamed preacher who stirs storms and whispers secrets only the bayou remembers.
Channeling swampy blues, rolling thunder, and folklore’s wildest energy, “River Prophet” is the next chapter in a story where spirits rise with the dawn and the current carries every secret downstream.
Listen and drift deeper into the bayou’s mysteries. The legend continues.

Step back into the shadows of the Louisiana bayou with “Moonlit Widow”—the next haunting tale in the Bayou Queen saga. If “Bayou Queen” captured the wild, untamed spirit of the swamp’s Friday night legend, “Moonlit Widow” reveals the sorrow and mystery that linger long after the music fades.
This song weaves the ghostly story of a woman bound by heartache and moonlight, forever wandering the midnight shores, searching for what the river stole away. With rootsy blues and Southern Gothic overtones, “Moonlit Widow” is both a companion and a counterpoint to the Bayou Queen—unveiling the darker secrets that echo through Spanish moss and drifting mist.
