VIRTUAL WALK INVITATION!

Do you love to walk but joining us on the official One Step, One Day, Yukon Healing Journey is impossible for you?

No problem.

We're collecting virtual kms from walkers from all across the Yukon and around the world.

Simply walk 5 kms or 10 kms (as often as you like) and let us know so we can track you 'donation' of kms.

The Top of the World Highway is a teeny bit hairy for walkers so we'd like to cover those 472 kms with your VIRTUAL participation. Let us know when you walk and we'll keep track.

We've created the hashtag and we're hoping you'll post on your social media and tag us here and use the hashtag too. We'd love to see photos or feel free to steal this image.

We are aware of statements made online that data was allegedly copied from the FCL IT environment and will allegedly be released. While it's possible these allegations are related to the cybersecurity incident we previously experienced, we are still investigating with assistance from third-party experts. If the investigation determines that data was in fact compromised, as previously stated, we will take appropriate action.

It's important to note that while this incident has been contained, upon first discovering that we had experienced a cybersecurity incident, we temporarily took a number of our systems offline as a precaution. As we continue forward with resuming normal operations, we're working towards bringing all systems back online safely. We once again want to thank Co-op members, customers and the public for their patience and understanding.

Federated Co-operatives Limited, which supplies TGP, experienced a cybersecurity incident that has slowed down certain aspects of our business. We are prioritizing key grocery items for delivery to local TGP stores. Teams are working to recover from the incident and we ask for your patience as we continue to build our way to back regular operations.

We want to thank our customers for your patience and understanding. We appreciate your support now more than ever, and we will continue to keep you updated.

Yukon air tankers are responding to OT-004, a wildfire 5 kilometres south of Alaska Highway KM 1156. This fire is located in British Columbia where the Alaska Highway enters BC between Swift River and Teslin, so you can also find it numbered R90740 on the BC Wildfire Service public map.

There is no threat to the Alaska Highway, but smoke from the fire and firefighting aircraft will be visible in the area this afternoon.

Look up the locations of all wildfires, as well as a smoke map, on the Wildfire Hub: https://wildfires.service.yukon.ca

Update (June 28 2024 at 6:00 pm): the fire beside the highway, TE-001, has been put out. TE-002 is being held.

Wildfire crews are working on two small lightning-caused fires, TE-001 and TE-002, east of Teslin.

TE-001 is 0.1 hectares in size and is located near Alaska Highway Kilometre 1222. Smoke is visible from the highway, which is open.

The Evacuation Order has been lifted and an Evacuation Alert is in its place. Follow this news article for updates: https://buff.ly/3KiyB97

‼️ The Evacuation Orders of May 10, 2024 and May 14, 2024 for Fort Nelson, Fort Nelson First Nation, Highway 77 North, Highway 97 South, and 292 Subdivision have been rescinded as of May 27, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. Residents may now return to the community. To ensure public safety in relation to these properties, a Prohibit Entry Order will remain in place on those properties until they have been effectively secured. Only property owners, their designates or other permitted personnel may enter a Prohibit Entry Order area, under permit issued by the NRRM EOC.
