Do you remember shopping with us when the store looked like this? Take a step back in time ❤️ This beautiful illustration shows Squire John’s after the first renovation, when the boot room was added to the original square Swiss Chalet building. Long before the additional wing was added to the right of the boot room, this was the store many of us remember, a little piece of local history that has continued to evolve over the years! The original artwork comes from the Squire John’s archive and was created by beloved Collingwood artist Herman Hueckel, who signed his commercial work with H. Hueckel.

It’s more than just a drawing. It’s a treasured glimpse into our past, a reminder of the places, people and memories that helped shape our community.

Meet Evan Ayers, entering his first-year as a U16 ski racer from the Elliot Lake Ski Racers who’s been racing for five years and is ready to take on a whole new level of speed, challenge and competition 🚀 With coaches Jason Wilcox and Bill Goulding in his corner and supported by Atomic & Squire John’s, Evan is stepping into bigger and faster courses with his sights set on two big goals: qualifying for the Canada Winter Games and earning a spot at Whistler Cup.
