The Georgian Artisan Shop In the beginning…. A place, which would focus on hand made Canadian goods that are produced by committed quality crafts people.

It all started over a morning coffee talking about all the talented and skilled artisans we have met and how cool it would be to see their works in a local shop. Highly skilled artisans who dedicate themselves to a level of detail that mass production cannot reproduce. Their unique products are a work of art that often reveals the individual’s heart and soul put into each piece. Tonight I’m giving you a little preview of the six pieces joining our Fine Estate Jewellery collection this week — including classic diamond huggies, a beautiful ammolite pendant, and some truly stunning vintage Navajo jewellery with incredible character and craftsmanship. 🤍

All six pieces will be going live on our website tomorrow night at 8pm.

And if you have jewellery of your own that’s been sitting unworn or you’ve inherited a collection and aren’t quite sure where to begin, come and chat with us! We’re currently accepting new consignments and buying gold and silver, and we also offer jewellery appraisals, repairs, custom design and redesign through our goldsmith.

I’m going LIVE on Instagram with a fabulous collection of vintage costume jewellery, all in incredible condition — and pieces will be starting at just $10!

There are so many fun finds in this collection, including two pairs of vintage Oscar de la Renta earrings. 👀✨

A little newlywed love for Tiffany & Ryan. 🤍✨

For her engagement ring, Tiffany chose a beautiful vintage piece and paired it with a custom-made double wedding band designed to fit perfectly around it. The result feels completely unique to her — a little bit of history, made into something entirely their own.

It’s also one of the things we love most about fine estate jewellery. Choosing estate allows you to find beautifully made, often one-of-a-kind pieces at a fraction of what something comparable may cost new — while giving exceptional jewellery another lifetime to be loved.

✨ A little milestone tonight! ✨

It’s hard to believe, but I’ve officially been doing these weekly jewellery previews for a whole year now! What started as a way to give you a closer look at our newest estate arrivals has become something I genuinely look forward to each week. 🤍

Tonight I’m sharing three beautiful pieces joining our Fine Estate Jewellery collection, all of which will be going live on our website tomorrow night at 8pm.

I’m also taking a little time in this Reel to chat about what we do here at The Georgian Artisan Shop — because there’s a lot more happening behind the scenes than our weekly estate drops!

Many of the pieces you see in our previews are consigned to us by local families, and we’re always welcoming new consignments. We also buy gold and silver, offer jewellery appraisals and repairs, and work with our goldsmith on custom designs and redesigns to give sentimental or unworn jewellery a whole new life.

Whether you’ve been watching these previews since the beginning or you’ve only recently found us — thank you for following along, commenting, sharing and supporting our little family business. It truly means so much. ✨

What a wild few days it’s been! We made it through — and just in time to reopen our doors this morning. ✨

These beautiful new display cases came to us from our dear friends Terry and Lucy of Avalon Fine Jewellery in Oakville. After an incredible 38 years in business, they’ve officially hung up their hats to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. 🤍

Avalon was a staple in downtown Oakville and became part of so many families’ stories over the years. From engagements and anniversaries to births and milestone celebrations, Terry and Lucy were there for so many special moments. We’re incredibly grateful for their friendship — and for the opportunity to carry a little piece of Avalon’s legacy forward here in Thornbury.

A huge thank you to my partner, who contributed a serious amount of muscle and brainpower figuring out how to safely transport these very important (and very heavy!) pieces. 💗 And a big thank you to Donna for jumping in with the moving, cleaning and remerchandising. Teamwork really does make the dream work!

We’re still slowly putting everything back together and giving the shop a little refresh, but our doors are open again. Pop in, say hello, and come see all the wonderful changes! ✨

We’re making a few exciting changes at the shop! ✨

We’re so happy to be bringing in beautiful display cases from our beloved friends at Avalon Fine Jewellery, who recently closed their doors after an incredible 38 years in business. It feels very special to give these cases a new home with us. 💛

We’ll be busy moving, rearranging and remerchandising over the next few days, so the shop will be closed Monday, September 21st & Tuesday, September 22nd.

We’ll reopen Wednesday, September 23rd from 10–5 — with a fresh new look! We can’t wait to welcome you back. ✨
