So far the iron infusion hasn’t taken effect. It can take 3-7 days or longer if you are really low. Some people feel the effects right away. I would so love that. I’m glad I got my iron when I did though as each day becomes a frustrating challenge. I also admittedly have a hard time just sitting. Unless, I have a crochet project.

I start most of my mornings walking the dog. On one of my walks with a friend, we had to make a washroom stop at the library. My friend told me about this book when she was in there. Hold my dog Maggie, I need this book!!

I have made a few amigurumi projects and my daughter also wants to learn. This book looks like a perfect way to get into it. I mean, the title says it all!

My brain is kind of foggy, but I think I’ll just pick one of the cute little projects and go for it. The brain fog has been challenging lately and it’s why I haven’t been posting as much. Trying to get back into peeps!

I borrowed this book from my lovely local library Blue Mountains Public Library . Libraries are the best and I love ours we have two in The Town of the Blue Mountains. Love the staff there and thank you to whoever decided to stock the shelf with this one and any crochet books. It’s pretty much the only books I check out lately.

The book - You will be able to crochet amigurumi by the end of this book.

I started this crochet bag a month ago when I got an iron infusion. I finished it last week and have been using it since. Thought I would bring it for this month’s iron infusion.

Getting infusions aren’t new to me, but it’s been a while. In 1999 I had my colon removed due to severe Crohn’s. I battled it for years before surgery was the life saving option. The iron then is different from what I’ve gotten these two times. No allergic reaction and it only takes about an hour and a half. I remember them being massive bags and it would also hurt a bit. I’m so grateful for the new formulation. Way less anxiety other than getting the iv started. Three pokes seems to be my norm.

Anyone following me struggle with low iron and energy? Fellow spoonies unite! Crochet and being creative has been a big part of my life all these years. It’s helped me through it.

What is a spoonie? A spoonie is a person who lives with a chronic illness, invisible disability, or mental health challenge. The term comes from the Spoon Theory, a metaphor created in 2003 by writer Christine Miserandino to explain how people with limited energy must budget their daily physical and mental capacity.

I often use up all my spoons and run on fumes. Over the years I have realized I need to have more down time to get my energy back. Now to just figure out how to keep my iron levels up.

It’s done! This was hard to finish and almost didn’t happen. The crochet math wasn’t mathing! There are so many things I should have done and didn’t and it’s not perfect, but it looks so good!

I will show more of this another time. Summer time fun is being had. At the same time I’m working and trying to build up my iron. It’s way too low. Time for another iron infusion.

If you have read this far and you are able to, please donate blood. I know blood and iron infusions are different, but I’ve had blood infusions too because I desperately needed it. Donations are low and your blood could save lives.

Thanks for reading this far. Please leave a heart emoji or any kind of comment. Much appreciated.

Showing more of my leg for this one. I’m calling it creamsicle. Isn’t it sweet?

Perfect little pouch for AirPods. Can also be used for all your little things that get lost at the bottom of your bag. This can be attached to a bag handle or just plunked it your bag. Easier to find a bright little pouch!

I am experimenting with pouches and learning different styles. If you haven’t noticed.

I need to revisit the flower pouch a friend sent me ages ago. I tried to figure it out without a pattern and it didn’t look right. Fails happen. I will keep on hooking.

I haven’t been creating as much as I used to and I’m trying to get my crojo back on. These little projects are perfect. Also, life and work happens, so my time and concentration aren’t always there.

I have loads of other things I want to create too. I love to create! Makes me feel complete.

I saw another crochet artist use these zippers and had to get them. Just look zippers with holes. I don’t even have an account. I get my husband to order it all for me. I know. Where is my independence? I like to spend most of my money locally. It keeps me from ordering the wrong thing and he often finds a better deal.

If you make these though or any crochet products, please let me and everyone know in the comments. Or if you know of someone, please let me know.

I can’t wait for my bag to come together. Eeeee! 😆❤️
