Moving countries with babies is not for the faint of heart. 😅
New house. New weather. New rhythms.

When we moved from South Africa to Canada, these two loveys became our boys’ little anchors. And I use them to remind them:

“Just like this lovey reminds you Mommy loves you, Jesus is with you always.”

In Canada, you plug in your car during winter. ❄️
In South Africa, we prepared for loadshedding.

But this winter habit hit me differently as a Christian immigrant mom.

If I don’t stay connected to God, I won’t have the strength for my own “spiritual winters.”

Immigration. Motherhood. Culture shock. Loneliness.

This South African body was NOT designed for -20°C. 🥶❄️

Every time I get dressed for a Canadian winter storm, it feels like I’m putting on battle armour.

Layers. Boots. Gloves. Hat.
And somehow I’m still cold. 😂

But honestly… moving countries teaches you something powerful:

You’re more adaptable than you think.

What once felt impossible becomes normal.

And sometimes obedience to God puts you in climates you never expected — physically and spiritually.
