Today on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to honor the survivors of residential schools, their families, and the children who never made it home. 🧡
Reconciliation requires active listening, continuous learning, and meaningful action. We stand in solidarity with not only indigenous communities here in Anemki Wequedong on Anishinaabe land, but also with all communities across Turtle Island, as we reflect on the ongoing impacts of the residential school system.
We encourage everyone to take time today to listen to Indigenous voices, learn the history of the lands we live on, and support Indigenous-led initiatives and organizations.
