Looking back at Project 101/284 — The Double-Door Floral Boots 🌸👢This one went on pause… indefinitely.
This is the only one so far that got away from me… creatively speaking! 😅
I originally decorated this jewelry box with floral boots on the double doors, blue foil around the frames, and coordinating floral decoupage throughout. But when it didn’t sell, I decided to revisit it and try to make the design work.
There were several attempts to change the look — white wax, grunge wax, crackle, more paint, and eventually sanding the doors back and replacing the original design with matching floral tissue.
And after all those changes?
I still didn’t love it.😢
Sometimes you can keep trying to fix a piece, but eventually you have to step away and let it be.
Not every project becomes a finished success story. Some become a reminder that creativity doesn’t always follow a straight line — and that’s okay. 💛
