Hello everyone. Girls Got Minnows will be closed on August 2nd and will reopen on the 5th. We have completely run out of bait. With the lifting of restrictions, we need to reorganize and resume our regular trapping schedule. We understand that this may cause some inconvenience. However, please be assured that we are doing our utmost and working diligently to meet the demands.

Our hearts go out to all the business and property owners who lost their residences and businesses due to the forest fires. There are no words to express how deeply saddened we feel for your loss.

As many of you know, there is a fire ban across northern Ontario. Please take caution while conducting outdoor activities. Even a harmless ATV ride can cause a fire from a heated muffler in tall dry grass.

You are all more than just customers to us, so please take care, everyone.

Sincerely, Laura and family

Just a reminder to keep an eye on each other during this heat wave. Stay safe and cool.

Just a reminder to keep an eye on each other during this heat wave. Stay safe and cool.

Know the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke — it could save a life.

Heat exhaustion can include dizziness, heavy sweating, clammy skin, nausea, weak pulse, or cramps. Get to a cooler place, drink water if fully conscious, and cool down.

Heat stroke is an emergency: confusion, no sweating, red/hot/dry skin, high body temperature, strong rapid pulse, or loss of consciousness. Call 911 immediately.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and check on others.

Good day. From Sunday, July 12th, to Wednesday, July 15th, Girls Got Minnows will be requesting that our customers utilize our fridge. If you have an existing order with us, please be assured that we have made arrangements to accommodate you, and we will greet you. The fridge will be replenished regularly. Trapping has been challenging, and this time is necessary for my family to explore new waters, ensuring that we provide you with the highest-quality bait possible. As always, we appreciate your understanding regarding the difficulties posed by the heat, lack of water and late spring. We value you as customers and want to meet your bait needs. Please stay safe and hydrated. Sincerely, Laura and family.
