Today, we pause to honour the children who never returned home, the survivors of day and residential schools, their families and their communities. We recognize the deep and lasting harm caused by these organizations and the ongoing impact of colonialism.
Today is also a call to action - for everyone - to listen, learn, and to commit to truth, justice, and reconciliation with our Indigenous brothers and sisters across Canada.
Reconciliation is not a single day project, but an ongoing journey.
Today and everyday we stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities and reaffirm that . 🧡🧡
