Nine days before everything changed, we shared our new logo on social media with the caption:
“With our Red Deer herd moving to the farm in the upcoming months, it felt like the right time to update our logo to reflect where Northern Antlers is headed next.”
We had this logo custom made to honour them and welcome them as part of our family, our farm, and our business.
I’ve considered changing it many times. If I’m honest, it’s been a pretty crappy reminder of one of the hardest things we’ve ever gone through.
But the red deer are still a part of our story, even if it wasn’t the story we thought we’d be telling. They’re a reminder of how hard we’re willing to work for our dreams and, truthfully, I’m really proud of everything we accomplished, even if it came at the cost of two exhausting years and a very sad outcome.
So, for now, it stays. ❤️
When we first had the logo made, we were so excited to get merch made with it, but we put that idea on hold when we got the bad news. I think it’s time to revisit that idea and finally bring a few pieces into the shop.
