Here's what we think makes a piece worth hunting for:

It should make you stop mid-thought when you walk past it.
It should have character that commands conversation (without you having to explain anything).
It should either work beautifully or work strangely. Boring middle ground is a no.
It should feel like it has already lived before it lives with you.

Why sculptural objects are having a moment.

Everyone's finally realizing that a shelf doesn't need to be functional. It needs to be interesting.

The sculptural ceramic. The brass form. The object that serves absolutely no purpose except to make you stop and actually look at it. These pieces are the punctuation marks in a room's story. They're the moments where design becomes art becomes conversation.

What you're really collecting when you collect like this: permission to take up space. Permission to care about the strange and beautiful. Permission to prove that good taste and actual taste don't always look the same.

One scoop, please.

This ceramic ice cream cone cookie jar was made by someone in the 1980s who had an actual vision. Pale pink soft-serve on a textured golden tan waffle cone. Hand-painted. Personalized. The kind of thing that gets better every time you look at it.

It's handmade in the way that matters. The ex*****on is clean. The colors are applied with intention. This isn't factory-stamped. This is 'I made this for someone I loved' energy, even though we don't know who. (The bottom says 'John.' Maybe John made it. Maybe John was lucky enough to receive it.)

The pink scoop lifts off to reveal storage inside. It's fully functional. It's fully lovable. It's one of a kind.

Two parrots. Two poses. One moment you realize brass sculptures are actually investments.

This pair has clearly seen some dinner parties. The kind of aged patina that you cannot fake no matter how hard you try (and yes, we have tried). Real brass. Real history. Real conversation starters.

One sits upright like it's hosting. The other captured mid-dive in the most elegant curve. Both rendered in solid brass with the kind of detail work that makes you wonder about the hands that made these in 1970s modernist workshops.

Why people collect these: Because finding a matched pair only gets harder. Once they're gone, it takes years to find another set. This is the kind of piece that becomes "the thing everyone asks about when they visit."

This is what happens when ceramics and drama collide.

A butter yellow vase that doesn't apologize. Sculptural. Carved. The kind of 1980s postmodern moment that makes people stop mid-conversation and ask where you found it.

It's Memphis design energy without the irony. Genuine fearless. The glaze is pristine, the form is intact, and the whole thing feels like stepping directly into 1980s design when postmodern meant you actually believed in what you made.

Twelve inches. Fully functional or just let it sit empty on a shelf and watch people lose their minds over the carved lines.
