These scrumptious, super soft cotton napkins are being created! An OMGoodness moment found online !! Original MSRP @ $300. This fabric was a duvet cover and is vintage Ralph Lauren Galahad paisley cotton sateen fabric, featuring a rich medieval-inspired red and blue floral pattern on an olive-green background. They have the feel and movement of silk but are fine cotton!!

I keep working on completing my branding…. Made my own business cards with Avery Business Card blanks and their templates! I printed my own as I am not 100% sure of what I want on them though I keep trucking towards having everything new and updated for the Ontario Artisan Market at the Brickworks Sept 20!! Check them out!! I think they are pretty cool if I don’t say so myself!!! Front and back!! I see I have an extra space before “every” - fixed!!

I chanced upon heaven today as I was blessed with seeing a plethora of swan gourds and bishops hats gourds at Vandemeer’s nursery this morning!!! I have never seen such large swans and had to take them home!!!! Such beauties of nature and so miraculously painted by Mother Nature!!! Don’t you love ‘em!!!!! O h. My. Goodness!!!!!!! It looks like they’ve been painted she’s done such a great job!!

I’ve continued “playing” a popular word in our Saskia Wassing Embroidery Artist courses with my little bird embellishing it with whatever pops in my head! I decided the “other” side, for my first piece, will be double sided… vs the same sided…allowing for my curiosity to continue !

Slow stitching is called slow stitching for a reason! 2 day course with Saskia Wassing had me joyful and curious and playful!! No mass production! No “Hurry up and getter done”. Letting your thoughts and curiosity drive your creation. It’s planned to a degree until it isn’t! Let go and go with the flow! Let it be whatever it will be!! Don’t we need that in life?? Reclaimed felted (ie shrunk) sweaters used in my little bird!! Don’t we need that in life??

Taking a 3 day course at Loyalist College by Stitch Drawing artist Saskia Wassig - Google her art!! - sample of her work in pics - the one with the bird and sewing machine is only 4x4 inches wide!! She does incredibly intricate free style stitch drawing. Free style is when no pattern or design or drawing is made on the fabric - perhaps a paper drawing for inspiration- and the creation comes from how you manipulate the movement of the thread and needle to create your art or embellishments for your designs. First 2 pics are my first attempt at controlling my hands and my machine and playing with straight and zigzag stitches. Tomorrow we play with adding different thread thicknesses to create different effects. So excited for this new brain energy!!!

Grab a beach bag and head to the water!!! A cool looking reclaimed towel, add some pompoms and some handles and voila!!! A large beach bag!!!! Unfortunately my daughter snatched this one up!!! Now I will need to make more!!!
