✨ Gala ✨
Here is my dear friend Anika and I, at my work gala we had loads of fun and I know for next time I can be less reserved with my outfit because boy did a lot of people go all out. I’m always so paranoid when having a themed event or costume party in fear no one dresses up. Regardless, I had fun working on this dress. Honestly though, it isn’t a dress I am most proud of. However I take it as a learning experience and I will do better next time!
I also made the headpiece ever so quickly a few hours before the event which was a sequinned belt and then I added some black velvet ribbon because we allll know how much I love wearing black and it tied in with the outfit.
I really need to get into the habit of actually taking photos of my me made outfits. One day!

Also!! thanks to everyone who sent me messages of encouragement when I made this outfit it’s been a while since I’ve made a decent project.
Few things I learned when making this dress
* Finally made an invisible zip invisible
* Satin is no one’s friend
* Figured out how to use a rolled hem foot
* Adding a side slit to a dress
