Not all details are loud.
Some are meant to be discovered.
From the precision of the top to the flow of the binding, every line is intentional — built to feel as good as it looks.
This is where craftsmanship lives.

Before there’s tone…
there’s touch.
This is Western Red Cedar—worked by hand, shaped slowly, and listened to along the way.
Every pass, every shaving, every decision matters.
Because what you hear later… is built right here.
Not rushed.
Not outsourced.
Not guessed.
Crafted.

but you feel the moment you pick it up.

Built with intention.

The wait is over.

Introducing the Arbourline Veritas.
A modern chambered nylon instrument shaped by clean design, quiet detail, and a different kind of voice.
Elegant. Refined. Unmistakably Timber Wood.
The Veritas marks a new chapter in the Arbourline lineup — one that embraces a more contemporary expression while staying true to the values of craftsmanship, intention, and individuality.

Something special is taking shape.
A quiet project in the shop…
one that blends tradition, careful craftsmanship, and a few ideas I’ve been exploring for some time.
Sometimes a build comes along that invites you to push a little further — while still honoring the fundamentals of the craft.
It’s not ready to be revealed just yet.
For now, this silhouette is your first glimpse.
More soon.

Every instrument begins with a foundation — its body shape.
At Timber Wood Guitars, each line is built around a body style that serves a purpose, both visually and tonally.
Timberline
Tele-style electric built for clarity, punch, and timeless simplicity.
Timberroot
P-style bass design with depth, power, and feel.
Timbertrail
Steel-string acoustics available in Dreadnought, OM, and Parlor — each offering a unique voice and playing experience.
Arborline
Traditional classical design crafted for balance, warmth, and articulation.
Every instrument is built one at a time with carefully selected tonewoods and obsessive attention to detail.
Because great guitars don’t start with hardware or finish.
They start with shape, resonance, and intention.

Why do classical guitars use nylon strings instead of steel?
Nylon strings produce a warm, rounded tone that is highly expressive and responsive to the player’s touch.
They also place significantly less tension on the instrument than steel strings. This allows classical guitars to be built lighter and more responsive, giving them their characteristic voice.
The result is a guitar that can produce incredible nuance — from delicate passages to powerful, resonant chords.
For generations, nylon strings have defined the sound of the classical guitar.

Why do so many guitars use spruce for the soundboard?
Spruce has one of the best strength-to-weight ratios of any tonewood used in instrument building.
That means it can be carved very thin while still remaining strong, allowing the top to vibrate freely and produce a clear, powerful voice.
Spruce is also incredibly dynamic. It responds well to both a light touch and aggressive playing, giving it a wide expressive range.
For generations, spruce has been trusted by luthiers because it provides clarity, projection, and balance.
That’s why it continues to be one of the most respected tonewoods in guitar building.

Most of guitar building isn’t dramatic.
It’s quiet.
It’s checking.
Rechecking.
Measuring.
Adjusting.
It’s taking the time to get something right that most people will never see — but will absolutely feel.
That’s the difference.

Buffalo bone nut roughed in on this left-handed Timberline build šŸŖµšŸŽø
Cut, fit, and shaped by hand—setting the foundation for proper string spacing, clean open notes, and smooth tuning stability. The material was chosen to accommodate the player’s sensitivity while still delivering excellent tone and durability.

Left-handed players deserve the same attention to detail—every step, every measurement.

šŸ‚ Happy Thanksgiving from Timber Wood Guitars šŸ

As we look back on this year, I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has supported my work — from custom builds, repairs, and restorations to all the conversations, feedback, and encouragement along the way.

Every guitar I build is a piece of my heart and craft, and I’m thankful for the amazing community that continues to believe in handmade instruments and the tradition behind them.

Wishing you and your family a warm, joyful, and music-filled Thanksgiving.
Hope your day is filled with good company, good food, and good tunes. šŸŽ¶
