One of the fastest-growing chefs on our team! Even before completing her training with Maeven, she was always willing to jump in and help whether that meant filling in for another chef, supporting catering events, or simply stepping up whenever the team needed her. 🙏

Her willingness to learn, take initiative, and support those around her has made her an absolute gem to work with!💯

With over 13 years of experience in the culinary industry, Chef Kwan began her culinary journey at George Brown College, where she studied Culinary Management with a focus on Italian cuisine.🇮🇹

Throughout her career, she has explored a wide range of cuisines and catering styles, including Chinese and Hakka, Caribbean, Mediterranean, and comfort food. 🤤

Passionate about cooking and bringing people together through food, she loves exploring different flavours and creating meals that people enjoy. 🫶

🍋 Giving Back This Thanksgiving 🍋

This Thanksgiving, Maeven Chef is honoured to be preparing 50+ hot Thanksgiving meals 🍽️ for the residents of Birchmount Green through Community Living Toronto Community Living Toronto — an organization that supports people with intellectual disabilities and their families. ❤️

Our co-founders, Chef Marijke Terry and Chef Steph Lo 🦄🧿 Floating Lotus Flower, are no strangers to sharing food with the community. Last year, they personally prepared and served 100+ hot meals throughout Toronto’s encampments, and we’re proud to continue that spirit of giving through Maeven Chef. 🫶

We’re incredibly grateful to our wonderful clients whose generosity and donations have made it possible for us to share a warm, nourishing Thanksgiving meal with members of our community. 🙏

Because for us, food has always been about more than what’s on the plate. It’s about community, dignity, connection, and showing up for one another. 🤝

And we want to keep that spirit going into the holiday season. 🎄

Our weekly meal prep service is at capacity with a waiting list, and we’re looking for a few experienced Personal Chefs to join our team.

THE ROLE
• In-home weekly meal prep for private clients
• Occasional dinner parties & events
• Menu planning, shopping, cooking & kitchen reset
• Independent, client-facing work
• Build your own schedule

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
✔️ 5+ years professional culinary experience
✔️ Comfortable working independently
✔️ Strong knowledge of dietary restrictions & allergies
✔️ Versatile across cuisines
✔️ Valid driver’s licence + reliable vehicle
✔️ Polished communication & presentation

Private chef, HNW client, events, w**e or bartending experience is a bonus.

THE DETAILS
💰 $26/hr meal prep + event bonuses
🚗 $15/session travel reimbursement
📍 Opportunities across Mississauga, Toronto, North York & Durham Region, with room to expand.
