A custom T-shirt print shop located in the heart of Downtown Toronto is looking to hire a full time Graphic Designer / Store Manager.
The store manager is responsible for overseeing the overall store activities from customer service to print production to ensure an efficient operation while driving overall store sales.
Primary Responsibilities
β’ Oversee the overall store activities from customer service to print production to ensure an efficient operation.
β’ Operates equipment and trains team members on all equipment and procedures to ensure all jobs are produced and delivered in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
β’ Regularly work with our corporate accounts, develop, and maintain lasting relationships with key customers and provide exceptional service to our customer base.
β’ Routinely reviews cash handling, point of sale system performance, register voids, Invoicing,
β’ Consistently maintains store appearance to keep a neat, clean, and welcoming environment.
β’ Manage job production flow.
Daily Functions
β’ Receive phone calls, answer emails, and assist walk-in customers to help them with their printing needs.
β’ Provide quotes, process orders, and generate invoices upon completion of the work.
β’ Review job specification from print orders and ensure that client files are accurate and print ready.
β’ Produce proofs and assist customers throughout the printing process.
β’ Assign jobs to employees and prioritize job completion.
β’ Monitor jobs in production and communicate with vendors regarding the status of special jobs and proofs.
β’ Contact clients for clarification regarding specifications of jobs submitted.
β’ Submit files and place orders with vendors.
β’ Ensure stock is ordered timely.
β’ Oversee employee scheduling to ensure adequate staffing levels.
β’ Participate in interviews and hiring of new team members.
β’ Ensure that the production equipment is being properly maintained and request service when needed.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
β’ Must be the highly knowledgeable and working knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite.
β’ Able to open, save and send electronic files and email.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
β’ Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite.
β’ Attention to detail and keen eye for noticing quality issues throughout the production process.
β’ Ability to lift/move materials up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand, and walk continuously for long periods of time and bend/twist at the waist and knees.
β’ Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, read and interpret documents and instructions from customers, vendors, and other team members.
β’ Must possess strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
