That first piece feeling ☺️…

Have been planning to do this for a while, but sitting down and doing something for myself just hasn’t been a priority lately. As a small business owner and a first time mama, finding a few minutes to just do you has been a struggle… it’s a fine balance and not everyday will be the same, but today I got back to doing what got me to start ‘Mango Puzzles’ in the first place - taking a moment to disconnect and put a few pieces together 🧩

🚨NEW PUZZLE ALERT 🤩!

We are so excited to share our recent collaboration with the very talented Elaine Lee | Illustrator!

Elaine Lee is a Toronto-based Canadian illustrator originally from Ottawa. She loves creating detailed illustrations inspired by her travels, everyday moments, and beautiful botanicals. Her Shiba Inu, Bread, frequently makes an appearance in her work 🐾.

We’ve been dreaming up our new puzzle with an Elaine for some time now. We wanted to pay homage to the capital, and the city our co-founder Kemal, once called home ☺️ Get lost in the blooming details of the Ottawa River Pathway with our new 1000 piece puzzle “Ottawa in Bloom” - launching in September 🧩

You loved it so much - we asked Kathleen Fu ✧˚ ༘ Illustrator to make one of every season 🙂‍↔️!
‘Trinity Bellwoods’ autumn and winter editions are coming in August 🧩!

Other things to get excited for - new puzzle by JULES ☾✨ will be revealed soon, and two brand new artists joined the Mango family that we can’t wait to share with you 🙏!

And yes, that is a baby play mat in the background because our little mini is rolling and doing the worm crawl which keeps us too busy to post here often but I promise - this puzzle session is about to get juicyyyy 🥭!

You may have noticed we haven’t been posting here as much in the past month…
Well, Mango Puzzles is not our only baby now ☺️🐣.

Somewhere between sleepless nights, countless diaper changes and endless cuddles, we also got our biggest shipment of puzzles to date 🧩!

We’re learning to navigate life as not only small business owners, but also as first time parents while getting through orders, emails and wholesale inquires.

We’re so excited to watch our baby boy grow alongside Mango Puzzles, and we want to thank you for supporting our family business 🥭🍼!

3 things this season of running Mango Puzzles has taught us:

1. You don’t have to do everything yourself.
For a long time, we handled our own fulfillment and even some local deliveries, which was incredibly rewarding and helped connect us to our city and our customers. As we grow, we’ve outsourced fulfillment to — a partner who really gets e-commerce. It’s given us back time and energy to focus on what we care about most: dreaming up new puzzle collections, discovering independent artists, and connecting with our community 🙏

2. Some designs really are timeless.
Trinity Bellwoods continues to be our best seller — even through the winter months. It’s a reminder that artwork with meaning and familiarity doesn’t have a season 🧩

3. Staying true compounds.
“Pieces over pixels” isn’t just a line we like — it’s our mission. Seeing it slowly resonate with more people as our community grows has been incredibly encouraging, and a reminder that consistency and staying true to our brand really does add up 🥭

Today is International Puzzle Day, and we wanted to share a little reflection on what it means to us 🧩☺️

First of all, a huge shoutout to this community of puzzlers who show up, slow down, and choose pieces over pixels. You cheer us on, inspire us, and remind us why we started Mango Puzzles in the first place.

Our goal has always been simple: make puzzles that feel good to do — fresh, colourful designs that bring the joy and calm of puzzling to more people, while connecting you with artists we genuinely love. We don’t release puzzles in bulk or rush them out the door. We release them with intention — thoughtfully made, artist-led, and meant to be something to look forward to.

As we continue to improve, innovate, and bring you new designs and artists, we’re forever grateful for every single one of you who’s supported our journey 🥭
