On moving day, the best way to reduce stress on an animal and keep them out of danger is to keep them secure in the quietest area possible. Transport them securely in your car during the move and once you’ve arrived, make sure they have a quiet, safe space to wait until all the unpacking is done.

Once you have your move date, contact utility providers and scheduled service at your new place. There’s nothing worse than sitting down at the end of a long moving day and not having electricity, heat or internet.
