Shayne Fox Hardware aims to provide designers and homeowners with simple nuggets of luxury for everyday use. Our debut GEO series, of k***s and handles, are made in Canada and come in two types of bronze. Please reach out if you would like to hear more, find out where you can buy some or if you are looking to obtain samples. Bronze is so cool and life is too short not to be surrounded by nice things.

Dispatches from the road today. Wares being transported from one facility to another to be finished and then packed up and shipped to you.

Everything we make is touched by many hands before they leave ours and yes sometimes batches are this small. We are not a big giant company that mass produces things. Our cast bronze wares are made by humans and finished by humans and transported and packed and laboured over in every way, by humans. In small batches and sometimes, really small batches.

I share glossy pics often but sometimes it’s really about clanging pieces in the back of a car being shuttled from one shop to another in a snow storm, to be hand finished, imperfections and all. I should share more about our work behind the scenes cause I think some people forget (or just don’t know) how trying it can be to manufacture things that are crafted and special in a world of fast consumption and consumerism.

I still love the way our pieces look stacked together in a box, waiting for sorting and final touches. But sometimes I think I’m insane too for this obsession with crafting and manufacturing bronze hardware.

I love watching bake and create magic in her beauty kitchen. I also really love watching her use and live with our PYRA wares. I realize, outside of my own interactions at home with our products, I rarely get to see how people actually live and interact with the pieces. Seeing her fling open her fridge, or wipe her fingers on a tea towel hung from the dishwasher pull is so fun for this gal. And warms my heart in a way I’ve not yet been able to articulate.

Also, I’ve tasted some of her recipes. She’s got incredible skills, you gotta watch her go.

This image from a past photo shoot. I just love it!

As a production designer for film and tv, it was fun to create little ‘sets’ to feature the wares in.

Styled by and shot by , it ended up being featured in House and Home magazine.

I spend so much time working on tv shows and working ‘in’ Shayne Fox Hardware that I find I have less time these days to design new products and dream up fun shoots.
I have to change this! Right?!

Just a love note to all you great people who order our wares and inspire us to make things. While we were packing a few small orders recently ,I was reminded of how I used to pinch myself and marvel at the beautiful objects I designed and get to handle regularly. I lost touch with this sentiment a bit recently. But fell into a trance for a second when these SPUL k***s in nickel plate were just sitting there like this. I feel so lucky to make things and to have you all enjoy them. Thank you!
