One week today is the dress rehearsal for my talk at !!!

I am feeling all the feels, let me tell you.

Nervous, excited, terrified, disbelief (that this is actually happening)… it’s a rollercoaster.

Worked with to sort out some outfits. She shopped my closet and helped me find 4 different options without spending a penny.

Trying to practice while balancing my style of speaking off the cuff to having a pre written speech.

Visualizing every aspect of the experience to bring down my anxieties.

Working with to ensure I am energetically in flow and ready.

It takes a village and I am so grateful you are in mine.

Sometimes we get lucky, but let’s face it… our clothes don’t always fit perfectly right off the rack.

You may think that getting your clothes tailored is a frivolous expenditure but it’s not.

Here are just a few reasons to visit your friendly neighbourhood tailor or seamstress.

1️⃣. It Can Help You Save Money -

Everyone’s got an unworn garment hanging in their closet because they bought it on impulse even though the fit wasn’t quite right. However, instead of buying a whole new dress, blazer, etc. getting it tailored will give you a “new” addition to your wardrobe.

2️⃣. It Can Cut Down On Waste -

While some people donate clothing they no longer wear, many garments still end up in landfills.

Taking your items to a tailor or seamstress to be mended, tailored, and even upcycled instead of tossing them and buying new items helps your bank account and the planet.

3️⃣. You’ll Feel More Comfortable and Confident -

Everybody’s body is different and tailored pieces will fit like they’re made just for you because they are! No more tugging or pulling on hems, sleeves, etc…

And no more wardrobe malfunctions!

Your garments will flatter your body while allowing you to move freely and comfortably.
