A Pal (who is better looking than me) and I headed through to Niagara Falls today for a winter getaway and to visit the tourist shops. This fantastic photo taken by William McKnight shows his wee dug Westie at the waterfalls at Fairlie Glen, with a saltire just in front of her. William said: “It’s a slightly longer than normal exposure (one-sixth of a second) to get the water to look like this, and trying to get an excitable Westie to stand still and not blink was – to say the least –a challenge!”

You don't see a Humpback whale in front of Edinburgh Castle every day. My old flat at Starbank Road would have had a splendid view.

Most of this American tourists observations are spot on! They are all very funny. The one below is pretty controversial but I kind of agree, Edinburgh is beautiful but the energy and all round coolness of Glasgow makes it the place to be.
