A somewhat unusual 1908 diagram of the anatomy of the cl****is. What's unusual about this illustration is how comprehensive it is for the time. Many anatomical diagrams of the cl****is did not include the crura. The bulbs haven't been historically included in diagrams of cl****al anatomy, either. It was only in 1998, ninety years after this illustration was made, that a detailed anatomical study of the cl****is was published. This study made clear the relationship between the bulbs and the rest of the cl****is, and crura and bulbs are usually now included in teaching diagrams. Historically, the anatomy of the cl****is has not been well-taught, and sometimes overlooked entirely. This is finally starting to change, but just think about how much quicker the change could have come if this diagram from 1908 had been seen by more people at the time!
