Itsy Bitsy cannot bear the cold winter months. We are looking forward to spring and seeing those little hosta nubs poke their little eyes out from beneath the soil. Until then, we offer you a tiny respite from the winter cold. This is an amazing personal garden tucked away in the Costa Rica rainforest.

The Ontario Hosta Society is hosting a really great event. This is an opportunity to join a fantastic group of fellow hosta lovers for a super fun day. Members are warm and welcoming!

A non-registered hybrid of Blue Mouse Ears growing to 6" x 18". Leaves are golden yellow and it bears lavender flowers from June into July.

Today we went on the OHA bus tour and had a fantastic time. We visited Crooked Creek Garden Centre, Giboshi Hills Hostas and Gardens Plus. What a fabulous friendly fun group of hosta enthusiasts! A huge thank you to the organizers and volunteers that made this event so great.

Some good news for any Ontario gardening society/club that has reached its 100th year (those that already have will be awarded retroactively)!

Horticultural grants

The Ontario provincial government will provide a one-time $1,500 grant to mark the 100th anniversary of horticultural societies. The province says the grant will also be awarded retroactively to horticultural societies that have already reached their 100th anniversary.
