Team Two -Fish

Tram Two Fish is a Lake Ontario based salmon fishing team run by two time "King of The Lake" Champion Karl Chmilnitzky.

Fish With A Pro all started with a dream to be able to give people the experience of Pro Tournament style fishing. With over 20 years of tournament fishing knowledge, Captain Karl Chmilnitzky has the experience and know-how to make your time on the water memorable! In 2010 Karl led his team to win King Of The Lake for the first time. Competing in the Salmon tournament world has become his passion.

Most of his time on the water is spent pre-fishing before tournaments. His knowledge of Lake Ontario will help guide you to catch the monster fish you've been waiting for! Most recently, Karl and his team won The Canadian Kings Cup, Great Lakes Tackle Shop Overall Series, and King Of The Lake 2015. We are a tournament fishing team based out of Southern Ontario. We focus mainly on fishing in Lake Ontario, for King Salmon.

Another tournament season wrapped up for us again this weekend in Newcastle for the final King Of The Lake event & the final days of the Great Ontario Salmon Derby.

A good couple days of pre fishing had us feeling positive going into Saturdays event but we couldn't get all of out bites to stick, resulting in us only bringing in 4 to the scales (needed 6) resulting in a 22nd place finish & falling out of contention for the team of the year championship.

Congrats to Get It Wet (Yvan) on winning both 👊

However Justin did land a narly 26.50lb which took the big fish title for the event!

It also won the Great Ontario Salmon Derby Saturday Daily Bonus & put him 15th on the weekly leaderboard.

Another hilight was Bud landing a huge Coho that was nearly 20lbs! (Quickly & carefully released)

It was another fun season for us fishing together & hanging out with everyone at all the events.

We can't wait to get the big 'ol Lund back out again next April

King of Kings Shootout Champs!

Team Two Fish has been at every one of these events at Bluffer since they started over 20 years ago, originally known as the Tightlines Shootout.

Yesterday was just one of those days where it all came together. During pre fish, we found an area that had good temps some bait & hungry kings. But you just never know if it would hold for the next day & what the size quality would be.

Well it did. We fished around Frenchmans Bay & pretty much had most of the area to ourselves. We had steady action through most of the day & we carefully landed every one of them. All of our 6 rods contributed. Copper line with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards continue to be very good for us with some choice A-Tom-Mik flies & Spin Doctor combos. A mix of flies & meat on the divers & mostly meat on the riggers.

We've been making some changes to our lineup of rods & reels recently. The Fish USA Flagship series rods with Penn Fathom Line Counter reels have been performing flawlessly.👌

In the end we were fortunate to take the main event, calcutta & biggest fish.

The Tyee Takedown Tournament took place out of Whitby today.

Our pre fishing revealed that it was going to be tough!

This main portion of this event was a 3 fish box (20 " minimum) & the bonus Calcutta was 5 fish box.

Well our predictions played out, it was tough!

We got 2 good bites all day but landed them both. As we packed up we were preparing for the " Two Fish " jokes that we might get. But as it turned out those 2 fish were good enough to earn us 3rd overall & we also had biggest fish of the day.

Congrats to the winners. Well deserved!
Tip of the hat to the organizers & sponsors, it was a very well run event at a great venue.

The keys for us were some A-Tom-Mik flies with copper line pulled behind the Dreamweaver Inline Magnum Ninja Planer boards.

A few weeks off till the next tournament.

It's always a good time at the The King of Kings Shootout in Toronto.

The weather was good & the fishing got better each day. We covered a lot of water & found the right spot but came up a little light again for an 11th place with with 82lbs ( 5 Salmon)

We constantly tweaked our presentations through out the day. You can't ever stop, as things can change in an instant.

Congrats to Vito & team Sure Thing on the win 👍

We're looking forward to some more events & the Great Ontario Salmon Derby over the next 2 months.

9th place in the Spring King Of The Lake Salmon Tournament out of St Catharines Marina this weekend.

Challenging weather conditions over the last few days to say the least!

Always great to see everyone & get the season underway.

Big congratulations to our buddies from team Outtaline for getting the win 👍

Next up for us will be the The King of Kings Shootout in June.
